Solar Water Project 5 Rotary München Mitte

Here is the short report about the Rotary Club Munich Central 5. The name of the village is Pywun Ywa. This is a native village of tube well masters who always give us advice on where would be a good place for our project. It is in Nyaung U township and it is only about 35 km away from Bagan. The village has 230 families and there are over 1200 people living in the village. They also have two tube wells. The tube well where we installed our solar water system pumps 1500 gallons of water per hour. The total water needed by the village is over 12000 gallon of water per day. Now our system can use 6 hours and it pumps around 9000 gallons. Now it covers almost the full amount the village needs. They distribute water by pipeline through a water meter. The depth of the tube well is 593 feet. Formally they use diesel, and they need to use 3 gallons of diesel per day. Now they do not use diesel anymore. Now they also have electricity but because of the low voltage and electricity shortages they need to use diesel. Now they are happy, and very thankful to Rotary München Mitte. /Min Min
